The New England Journal of Medicine Catalyst Patient Engagement Blog has published my article, “How Chronic Pain Treatment Falls Short of Patient-Centered Care.” It argues that objective and subjective models of chronic pain care have failed, and that we must turn to patient action as the means and end for chronic pain care.
The argument about patient action is further developed in a Topical Review in PAIN that I authored with Kevin Vowles: “Patient action as means and end in chronic pain care.”
